State says legalising cannabis products containing THC is ‘premature’ – SanzScript reports.

Cannabis: state says it would be premature to legalise cannabis-based products with trace levels of the psychoactive compound THC

It would be “premature” to legalise cannabis-based products with trace levels of a psychoactive compound, the state has said in court documents. The claim appeared in a legal challenge to the no-tolerance policy in Irish law for products containing any amount of tetrahydrocannabinol , the main psychoactive compound in cannabis. The case relates to vials of hemp oil which were seized by the Revenue Commissioners in October 2020.
