The Jan. 6 committee is seeking more than 19,000 emails relating to John Eastman's work for Trump in the months following the Nov. 3, 2020 election.

American law professor; legal and constitutional scholarJohn Eastman, the conservative law professor who authored memos outlining how President Trump could overturn the results of the 2020 election, invoked his Fifth Amendment rights 146 times when he was questioned byThe disclosure came in a court hearing before U.S. Judge David Carter in Santa Ana, Calif.

laid out a roadmap for a constitutional coup: They argued that Vice President Mike Pence could refuse to accept the certified results of the Electoral College vote declaring President-elect Joe Biden the winner. Pence publicly rejected Eastman’s advice, agreeing with the vast majority of legal experts who said he did not have the power to reverse the voters.

Once a law clerk for Supreme Court Justice Clarence Thomas, Eastman appears to have played a central role in developing strategies for Trump to cling to office even though state electoral boards had affirmed Biden’s victory in the election. In addition to speaking at the Jan. 6 “Stop the Steal” rally along with Trump, Rudy Giuliani and Alabama Rep. Mo Brooks, Eastman also testified before a Georgia legislative committee urging it to reject Biden’s win in that state.

That is John Eastman’s American rights, isn’t it? America is still America though many people like Yahoo News want it to become a Fascist Country like Germany and Italy in the 1930s and 1940s.

146 times? Didn’t Trump say that people who take the 5th are guilty?

“The mob takes the Fifth,” Trump said at one campaign rally in September 2017. “If you're innocent, why are you taking the Fifth Amendment?”

None of this is about whether we should find out what trump did. of course we should. he was president and fomented an attack on the US Capitol to stop his loss from being certified in broad daylight on television as the whole world watched. Denying that is just more obstruction.
