Presidential aspirant and Senator Panfilo Lacson on Monday said continuation of the Build, Build, Build program of the current administration and the proper enforcement of laws would help in addressing the traffic problems in the country.
“‘Yung isang programa ng Pangulong [Rodrigo] Duterte, ng administration na dapat talagang ipagpatuloy at suportahan [ay] Build, Build, Build. Imprastraktura e tapos, of course, sa transport sector, tanungin ‘yung LTFRB bakit napakaraming kolorum… Infrastructure at s’yempre ‘yung enforcement,” he said over dzBB’s Ikaw Na Ba: The Presidential Interview segment.
As an example of enforcement problems, Lacson cited the lack of knowledge of some traffic enforcers on the laws and ordinances that are being implemented on the road. “Paano titino ang enforcement, ‘yung mga traffic enforcers, lalo ‘yung mga ine-employ ng mga local government units, subukan mo magpahuli, hindi alam [mag-issue ng ticket] hindi alam ang violation e. Kasi nandoon sa kanto nag-aabang, kikikilan ka lang e pag sabi mong tiketan mo ako, ayaw maniket hindi alam maniket pero mayroon silang citation ticket,” he said.from Cubao in Quezon City to Makati City to five minutes.
