Supporters of a Tamil asylum-seeker family removed from Biloela in central Queensland almost four years ago have welcomed a court ruling which means family members can apply for new bridging visas.
Carina Ford, lawyer for the Nadesalingam family, said the court based its decision on two reasons — one was that a submission that had been given to the department had not been taken into account.

This family is no threat to Australia and have proven to be very good citizens while living in the community. They deserve to be allowed to stay. We all know who the minister was who treated them unfairly and I want to see him lose his seat at the next election...just ugly!
You'd think Hawke and Morrison would do a cost-benefit analysis of the issue, and realise letting them return to Biloela will not cost LNP any votes.
So... due to a Federal Government stuff up of their own rules, the Feds have wasted up to $50 million on performative toughness.
