The widow of one of three men wrongly arrested on suspicion of murder more than 50 years ago has vowed to keep fighting to clear his name and that of her brother, also one of the trio.

The first episode tomorrow focuses on the story of 19-year-old Una Lynskey whose body was found weeks after she went missing near her Co Meath home in October 1971.Dick Donnelly did not sign a confession and had his manslaughter conviction overturned a few months later on appeal. Dick’s widow Ann Donnelly, who is also Marty Kerrigan’s sister, has vowed to take her fight for justice for both her brother and her husband to the grave.

“That will be very hard for us, but it has to be done. I know he is looking down and he is helping us.” Allegations are made against some of the interrogating detectives with Assistant Commissioner John O’Driscoll telling the documentary makers: “Times have changed.”
