Conservative justices question the legality of President Joe Biden's vaccine-or-testing mandate for large businesses.

Rulings on 2 mandates will have huge implications for U.S, which recently logged 1 million daily casesPresident Joe Biden speaks about COVID-19 vaccinations at a company in Elk Grove Village, Ill., on Oct. 7, 2021. The administration is scheduled to begin enforcing the policy concerning organizations with over 100 employees on Monday.

Friday's first argument focused on a U.S. Occupational Safety and Health Administration requirement that workers at businesses with 100 or more employees be vaccinated or tested weekly — a mandate that applies to more than 80 million workers nationwide. The administration is scheduled to begin enforcing the policy on Monday.

Brandon Trosclair, a grocery store operator in Louisiana opposed to the Biden administration's vaccine mandate for large employers, talks to reporters outside the Supreme Court on Friday, although the justices heard arguments remotely due to the COVID-19 pandemic. "I would find it would be unbelievable to be in the public interest to stop these vaccinations," liberal Justice Stephen Breyer said. The arguments came as the U.S. reported 662,000 new COVID cases on Thursday, the fourth highest daily U.S. total ever recorded and just three days after a record of nearly 1 million cases was reported, according to a Reuters tally.

"Why doesn't Congress have a say in this … and why isn't this the primary responsibility of the states?" Roberts asked. The state of Ohio and the National Federation of Independent Business took the lead in seeking to block the mandate.Under the second policy being reviewed by the Supreme Court, vaccination is required for an estimated 10.3 million workers at about 76,000 health-care facilities, including hospitals and nursing homes, that participate in the Medicare and Medicaid government health insurance programs for elderly, disabled and low-income Americans.

Its interesting to note, that its Republican judges that are getting in the way of the government trying to deal with the pandemic. Republican obstructionist is going to kill more Americans

Isn’t there any standing for the greater good?

Well the GOP have been suffering from MassPsychosis since the 1980's so it's no surprise. These things don't help the billion dollar corporations, and the GOP hate science because it debunks their bullshit.

Interesting Roberts would question something because it was inacted 50 years ago should it be applicable today. The whole Constitution is way older. I don't see them considering a right to own a musket is 1876 is not appropriate for owning an assault rifle today.

Finally….! Just before people thanks justice in their hands….!!

Let’s go Brandon

The jig is up. You screwed up. It’s a pandemic of the vaccinated. Back to normal now
