Acting chief justice Raymond Zondo has voiced 'grave concern' over the hammer attack at the country's apex court and says the security of the judiciary and court users requires urgent attention.

A man was arrested on Wednesday for allegedly using a hammer to smash the windows of the Constitutional Court. He is expected to make his first court appearance on Friday. He has been charged with malicious damage to property. “This incident comes shortly after other important state facilities have experienced unprecedented attacks, including recent threats having been made to cause damage to some superior courts.

Zondo urged law enforcement agencies to do everything in their power to put proactive measures in place to avoid similar incidents in future.

I personally believe Acting Chief Justice Raymond Zondo is a politician within the judiciary

Many Police officers ,constables and other members died due to Covid in the past two years, when will the STATE EMPLOY AND FILL THESE VACANCIES?

Police have a useless element, Parliament burnt on their watch and then they grab whatever they could get passing by as a suspect, disgraced force.

Police are over stretched and to use them would worsen matters from service delivery perspectives. Recent developments, July 2021, Parly 2022, Concort require the army to step in to guard the strategic infrastructures such as union buildings, SARB, reservoirs and many more
