, a group of jurors in the high-profile case quietly gathered at Raritan Center in Edison to pay tribute to the little boy.
More than four years later, the jurors were gathered again Tuesday — this time by their phones and computers awaiting the 10 a.m. release of a state Supreme Court decision in the case. The jurors, who had kept in touch over the years via Facebook and a texting group, messaged each other with the stunning news that the court had“They are all outraged,” Joe Mulvanerton, who served as Juror #2 in the case, said of the other jurors he has been in touch with over the last few days.
“After reviewing the entirety of the evidence and after giving the state the benefit of all its favorable testimony and all the favorable inferences drawn from that testimony, no reasonable jury could find beyond a reasonable doubt that Lodzinski purposefully or knowingly caused Timothy’s death,” wrote Justice Barry Albin in the majority opinion.

But no arrests were made.
Another juror in the case, Juror #6, told NJ Advance Media shortly after the verdict in 2016 that the jurors were initially split 10-2 on whether to find Lodzinski guilty of murder. But the two holdouts who said there was not enough evidence to vote “guilty” said they still believed Lodzinski was lying about her son. They were eventually persuaded to find her guilty of killing the boy.
Under court rules, a tie meant the verdict was upheld and Lodzinski would remain in jail. But, her attorney’s went back to court to argue that was unfair and her case should be heard by seven justices., a presiding appellate court judge, was brought in to hear the case and be the tie breaker. He sided with the Supreme Court justices who ruled there was not enough evidence to convict Lodzinski.
Wow cares what they think.
I would be furious too if I was a juror on that case, they sat in that courtroom for more than 2 months. Scott Peterson was convicted on circumstantial evidence, I don't understand why circumstantial evidence wasn't enough to keep her in prison. It's so obvious she killed her son
