Governor Udom Emmanuel of Akwa Ibom State, on Thursday, sworn-in Justice Eme Daniel Ekong, 56, and Justice Effiong Asuquo Effiong,48, as two new High

Eme Ekong called to bar in December 1990, was until her new appointment the Chief Magistrate 1, while Effiong Effiong FCIA until his appointment served as Chief Registrar in the State Judiciary.

Speaking after administering the oaths of allegiance and office to the new judges, the governor congratulated them and commended the contributions of the Judiciary to the functioning of the state government. He also promised to do all within his powers to fast track justice delivery at all levels of the State judicial system.
