Court throws out suit challenging legality of vernacular schools

The Kuala Lumpur High Court says that vernacular schools, and the use of Tamil and Chinese languages in them, are in line with the Federal Constitution, throwing out a suit challenging their legality. – The Malaysian Insight file pic, December 29, 2021.

THE Kuala Lumpur High Court has dismissed a suit questioning the legality of vernacular schools in Malaysia. The court, in its decision, said that vernacular schools, and the use of Tamil and Chinese languages in these schools, are in line with the Federal Constitution.
