“And I have to wait for the report before… That’s why it’s a stupid thing. I have to wait for the report, assessment before I can act on a proclamation. That’s the law so I can’t do anything,” Duterte added. Odette – one of the worlds’ strongest storms this year – made landfall in Siargao Island, Surigao del Norte; Cagdianao, Dinagat Islands; Liloan, Southern Leyte; Padre Burgos, Southern Leyte; President Carlos P. Garcia, Bohol; and Bien Unido, Bohol on Dec. 16. It also hit La Libertad, Negros Oriental and Roxas, Palawan on Dec. 17.
Data released by the NDRRMC on Sunday, Dec. 26, showed that the increase was mostly attributed to how reported casualties in Negros Occidental rose from one to 40 in just two days. The NDRRMC said some 60 persons remained missing and at least 742 reported injuries from various provinces ravaged by Odette.Papal Nuncio to the Philippines Archbishop Charles John Brown visited areas in the Diocese of Surigao that were badly stricken by Odette and asked Catholics to show hospitality to those most in need.reported that Brown arrived in Surigao del Norte in the morning of Christmas Day and proceeded to Siargao Island.

onenewsph Sobrang ewan naman ng justification ni Duts. Lahat ng mamamayan sa apektadong lugar ay humihingi na ng tulong sa national govt. You should fire all your people sa NDRRMC kung totoong hindi sila nakapag-report kaagad. Meron DRRMC sa local na pamahalaan. Huwag na magpalusot.😡👎
