The National Drugs Law Enforcement Agency has said that it confiscated hard drugs worth N60 billion in the last two months as part of the nationwide

The Chairman of NDLEA, Brigadier General Buba Marwa disclosed this on Sunday in Offa, Kwara State, at the 3rd Colloquium of Galaxy Clique, Offa.

Marwa who was represented by Mr Kayode Babayeju, Kwara State Commander of NDLEA identified insecurity as a threat to a country and traced one of the root causes as drug abuse that has become prevalent in the society. He added that excessive use of drugs leads to abuse, identifying cannabis sativa as the most abused drug in Nigeria, pointing out that it was imported into the country by soldiers who fought in the second world war.
