At 11:30 am on December 15, the giant panda suddenly climbed over the enclosure and then clumsily crawled out into a transition zone between the enclosure and tourist area. A keeper immediately lured Meng Lan back to his enclosure with food. After examination, there was no injury caused to the panda. Meng Lan is the “naughtiest boy” in the Beijing Zoo. According to the zoo, they will renovate the enclosure to avoid such incidents from happening again.
