A court has heard prosecutors have "no idea" what triggered Lee Matthew Hillier to kill a "generous, courageous, outgoing and gentle" father north of Brisbane more than three years ago.Lee Matthew Hillier pleaded guilty to manslaughterNathan Frazer was stabbed twice in the chest before he was left on the side of the road in Murrumba Downs in July 2018.
During a sentencing hearing the court heard Mr Frazer had been travelling in a car with Hillier and two women, before the group drove to an apartment in a plan to take drugs together. However, the court heard Hillier had no injuries and that after the stabbing he told his partner Mr Frazer had "disrespected" and "challenged" him, calling himself a "monster" and saying he did not mean to kill him.The court heard Mr Frazer had formerly served in the Australian Defence Force and had worked in the horse racing industry.
10 years? That's a really small sentence for killing someone? The justice system in Australia is pathetic...or is it a government money-saving ploy to avoid overcrowding and reduce costs on building more prisons? Who knows
10 years for killing someone we have a big issue in this fucking country
Another one, what do you have to do to receive a life sentence in this country. Appalling.
Ten years, what out in 7....our justice system is appalling.
