Assange was remanded in custody and Friday’s ruling paves the way for the British home secretary, Priti Patel, to ultimately decide whether or not Assange should be extradited to the US.

Australia would rather the US deal with him for obvious reasons.

Assange gave up his Australian citizenship to become a citizen of Ecuador because it has no extradition treaty with America, Australia, nor other countries. If he was Australian, he would have been protected by the Australian consulate for the 11 years, NOT Ecuadorian consulate
