A court has heard a former South Australian Labor Party staffer has blamed accessing child exploitation material on a technical "glitch".His lawyer said his client only watched two videos because of a technical glitchIn July, former Labor staffer Benjamin John Waters, 38,as well as possessing photos and videos of abuse depicting children under the age of 14.
But Mr Powell said a digital forensic expert could prove Waters viewed the videos, saying it "wasn't a glitch".Mr Powell said the expert had also gleaned new evidence from a USB drive and a laptop, allegedly showing multiple files had been accessed between November 2020 and March 2021.However, defence lawyer Michael Dadds argued only 10 of the files had been "bookmarked as child exploitation".
Prosecutor Jeff Powell said oral evidence was necessary given Mr Waters' story had changed since his first evidence to police.
He learnt his integrity from his bosses like AlboMP billshortenmp Bowenchris and all the rest of the organised crime bosses at the AustralianLabor party.
