About time. Smoking is not just about smokers. Second and third hand smoke kill others, ruin community health, poison surfaces, challenge tenancy laws and devalue property. Ingestion of tobacco carcinogens continues 2 months after a smoker vacates the location of last cigarette.
What will they do with tourists who are smokers?
Can already see the market for illegal cigarettes imported from Australia and the Pacific. What a ridiculous nanny state idea. Covid has given these govts the taste of restricting peoples lives and now they won’t let it go.
Could concentrate on eradicating child poverty in New Zealand instead
Why not ban alcohol till age of 21. Or possessing a drivers licence till 21.

Can understand why with the health risks associated with smoking most obvious Cancer. Impact on society is huge. There will be some WTF unhappy camper's blaa blaa usual shit. Some will bang on re gov. Tobacco companies profiteering no responsibility taken WTF aye stuff em I say.
