A civil rights advocacy group, the Human Rights Writers Association of Nigeria (HURIWA) has commended Enugu State Governor

, Ifeanyi Ugwuanyi, for his determination in ensuring that justice, equity and due process are followed in the discharge of his responsibilities.

In a statement jointly signed by the National Coordinator of HURIWA, Emmanuel Onwubiko and National Media Affairs Director; Zainab Yusuf, the group commended Ugwuanyi for his labour-friendly programmes and prompt intervention in the NULGE land matter, which would have degenerated into crisis. “A few weeks ago, the Department of State Service , knowing how much time, effort and resources you had invested to ensure a peaceful state, had alerted you on a crisis that was brewing in the state Ministry of Lands and Urban Development over the purported revocation of Plot P23CA Independence Layout, Enugu belonging to NULGE.
