Officials and employees of the Office of the Court Administrator of the Supreme Court on Monday, Nov. 22, gave newly appointed SC Associate Justice Jose Midas P. Marquez a send-off at the SC grounds on Padre Faura Street in Ermita, Manila.
“After 30 years working here in the Supreme Court, I get my appointment as an Associate Justice…. It was not easy but I’m sure, it would have been much more difficult if it were not for all of you. You made my life as Court Administrator much easier,” Justice Marquez said as he thanked OCA officials and employees.With his promotion, Deputy Court Administrator Raul B. Villanueva has been designed by Chief Justice Alexander G. Gesmundo as officer-in-charge.
He has been with the SC in various capacities since 1991. As associate justice, he is expected to serve his post until 2036 when he turns 70, the retirement age for members of the judiciary.
