With more vaccines, hesitancy rate down ‘no need for law to compel vaccination’ – Guevarra

Justice Secretary Menardo I. Guevarra expressed belief that a law will no longer be needed to compel people to get vaccinated against the coronavirus disease .

He also said: “The objective is to reach herd immunity at the soonest possible time. If this objective could be achieved by means other than compulsion, I would go for those other means.” Just last week, he supported President Duterte’s stand that employers have the right to refuse hiring job applicants who have not yet been COVID-19 vaccinated because “there is no employer-employee relationship at that point.”
