A man has appeared in court charged in connection with an alleged assault in Ballymahon, Co Longford in the early hours of Saturday which left a teenager seriously injured.
He was arrested on Saturday after a man in his late teens sustained serious head injuries following an alleged incident along Ballymahon’s Main Street. Det Garda Damien McGovern gave evidence of arrest, charge and caution during the brief hearing before Judge Alan Mitchell. He said Mr McCormack made no reply.
