Guan Eng claims Wee spinned Timah issue as big win for non-Malay rights

BAGAN MP Lim Guan Eng today claimed that Transport Minister Wee Ka Siong has “dishonestly spinned” the Timah whisky issue as tipping in favour of non-Muslims’ rights, after Putrajaya allowed the distiller to keep the name.

“MCA president Wee Ka Siong is portraying the cabinet decision to allow Timah whisky to maintain its name as a big gain for the non-Malay community and non-Muslims, shows the steep descent and extent of how much the rights and status of non-Muslims has deteriorated when MCA got back into government and Wee was appointed as transport minister,” Lim said during a virtual ceramah.
