A Chieftain of the All Progressives Congress in Zamfara State, Abdulmalik Zubairu Zannan Bungudu has warned that Governor Matawalle’s faction of the party would regret conducting a ward congress on Saturday as it planned to do.
He warned that such action if effected, amounts to a clear contempt of court, informing that his faction of the party would not participate in the congress. He said his faction would not participate in the planned congress as a sign of respect for the subsisting court order given to all factions. “If not by the government power Governor Bello Mohammed Matawalle cannot even go to his ward in Maradun for congress because people are not happy with him over the manner he is governing the state, which the voters are waiting for him and his faction in 2023″
The former federal lawmaker said if they have no respect for the court that brought them to power, they should proceed and conduct the planned congress but definitely they would regret their action.
