Jackson Watson, 23, fronted Sutherland Local Court for the first time on Wednesday after he was last week arrested in Sydney’s south following an investigation into allegations made by a 24-year-old woman in August.

The 23-year-old was himself a talented footballer who represented an Australian representative Indigenous side in his teens, alongside his half-brother Tristan SailorNSW Police said in a statement police began an investigation on August 30 after a woman made a “report alleging she had been assaulted and defrauded by a man known to her”.
“Following inquiries, about 4.20pm on Friday 15 October 2021, police attended a unit on The Kingsway at Caringbah, where they arrested a 23-year-old man,” police said. “He was taken to Kogarah police station, where he was charged with common assault , stalk/intimidate intend fear physical etc harm and make false document to obtain financial advantage.”
