The sacked Kano Public Complaint and Anti-Corruption Commission boss, Muhyi Magaji Rimin-Gado, is to appear before a Magistrates Court to answer questions

Rimin-Gado is to be arraigned before Kano State Magistrates Court for alleged forgery and false information charges against him.

Although, a court of competent jurisdiction had granted an exparte order resisting the police or any agent of the state from arresting, harassing or intimidating the ex-anti-graft boss, it was learnt that police had concluded fresh First Information Report before a magistrates court. When contacted, the spokesman of the police, DSP Abdullahi Haruna Kiyawa, confirmed that the investigation on the charges of alleged forgery and false information will resume soon.

He alleged that the charge was trumped up and “a clear case of persecution” as well as being a part of the plan to lock him up and harm him.
