Socio-Economic Rights and Accountability Project (SERAP) has urged President Muhammadu Buhari to cut the N26 billion budget for the construction of the

presidential wing at the State House medical center, local and foreign travels, meals and refreshments, sitting allowance and welfare package.

A letter dated 9 October 2021 and signed by Deputy Director, Kolawole Oluwadare said Nigerians find it unjust that the government devoted huge funds to unimportant items despite piling debts. The letter told the Buhari administration to stop spending so much money on things that would not benefit the masses who voted it into power.
