The Court, in its judgement on Thursday, found Faisal guilty of the charges the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, EFCC, preferred against him.

The Federal High Court sitting in Abuja has sentenced Faisal Maina, to 14 years imprisonment.

The judge, Justice Okon Abang, said the anti-graft agency was able to establish that Faisal operated a fictitious bank account with the United Bank for Africa, UBA, through which his father, Maina, laundered the sum of N58.1 million. Justice Abang said he was satisfied that the EFCC proved all the essential ingredients of the charge, stressing that the Defendant reasonably ought to have known that inflows into the bank account formed proceeds of an unlawful act of corruption by his father.

It further held that in the event that the Defendant traced to anywhere outside the country, the Federal Government, “shall legally or lawfully commence extradition proceeds to bring him into the country to serve the jail term”.

Steal billions. Go to prison while the money is still breathing fresh air in your account and then come back to enjoy after you must have been replaced in prison to enjoy your life. This is our society, that's how we are wired.

Well you have to find him first , judging by the competence and bias of this clueless administration, God save us all from them, he will probably be classified as 'Repentant Fraudster/looters' give him a few 100 million naira to get a new start.

That is if they don't replace him with someone else while he will be cooling off in Chicago. I won't doubt his sentence if he is a Southerner
