About 3,000 barrels of crude oil spilled into the Pacific Ocean, killing wildlife, soiling the coastline and forcing officials to close beaches in several cities in Orange County, just south of Los Angeles. The spill follows dozens of incidents in the Gulf of Mexico following Hurricane Ida, which slammed into the U.S. Gulf in late August and damaged rigs and pipelines.
It is unclear whether Congressional Democrats would be able to pass legislation to curtail offshore drilling, particularly in the Gulf. President Joe Biden has vowed to reduce the nation's dependence on fossil fuels. In all, a 4,000-foot section of the 17.7-mile pipeline was displaced laterally, U.S. Coast Guard Captain Rebecca Ore told reporters.
I am sure every person wanting to ban drilling all drive electric vehicles and ride electric buses and airplanes.
Because a off shore drilling boat’s anchor hit the pipe and not the cargo ships from China…
