Couple go on trial accused of child cruelty after daughter (9) left with life-changing injuries

Image: Laura Hutton via RollingNews.ie Image: Laura Hutton via RollingNews.ie THE TRIAL HAS begun of a Dublin couple accused of child cruelty charges after their nine-year-old daughter was left with life-changing injuries.

They have further pleaded not guilty to intentionally or recklessly causing serious disfigurement to the child and to two further counts of child cruelty on occasions between 28 June and 2 July 2019. She said that they would hear evidence that when the Dublin Fire Brigade ambulance crew arrived, they were immediately struck by the fact that her body was in such a way that it suggested serious brain injury.

She said that the father told people at the hospital that his daughter had self harmed, but that he hadn’t noticed any of the extensive injuries on her body.

Judge Martin Nolan. He'll probably give them a 25 euro fine.

Scumbags the pair of them, but in this country they will get a few years in low security and be out and about again. It be better if what they did to that girl could be done to them the animals
