Teacher has a court challenge against the Victorian government's vaccine mandate, claiming it breaches her human rights. Rights have choices, consequents and responsibilities. It is clear she wants her choice, without facing up to the consequences or responsibilities.

I hope she never teaches ever again.

Stop teaching. You're clearly not intellectually fit for the purpose.

Why not a trifecta: object to working with children certs as an invasion of privacy & teaching qualifications as discriminatory against the educationally disadvantaged? Save time, bring all her concerns to the table at once.

Oh

Follow UNESCO Rules.

Perhaps she should study science and history instead of law

Health experts express opinion: 'incomplete medical trial is safe & effective' Observable global evidence from front line health care professionals: 'hey guys, you might want to look at this' 😬😬😬

Is this another liberal funded project?

Where does a teacher find the coin for a supreme Court challenge?

This teacher is a selfish ignorant person and obviously doesn’t care about anybody else but themselves! Unless it’s a valid medical reason for not having the jab!! Hope you are out of job then!! Give up your right to medical treatment then if you get COVID 😡😡😡

Former teacher. Sigh. Facts ABC.

It is personal choice you can leave your job if you are so strongly minded. Also last in the queue for hospital and no indoor dining ScottMorrisonMP MarkMcGowanMP vaccinated

You know what they say about people who represent themselves ... The Nuremberg Code - goodness.

Another reason for kids to make fun of relief teachers.

Ok, this will be interesting. I think the wording is that you cannot attend as a teacher if you are not vaccinated. You can use up your leave and unpaid leave to the maximum during that time. If you have no leave left, you have effectively put yourself out of a job.

A CRT. Not even a teacher. Talk about making a mountain out of a mole hill

They are forcing you a medical procedure without your consent

Wonder if she would be willing to refuse all modern medical treatment.

Only bad teachers refuse vaccination

As a teacher, she has a duty of care to the communities she works in, just like her places of employment have a duty of care to her and others she comes into contact, and works with- especially as a CRT, constantly moving around for her work

The teacher needs to get off Telegram and YouTube!

Another time waster.

What do the parents of the kids think?

Here we go again, not more god botherers.

As a teacher, your responsibility is not only for educating children but also for caring children. Especially for these kids under 12 years old without any vaccines protection.

They obviously think that freedom to choose is more important than their duty of care. Perhaps they are in the wrong profession.

She will lose

Mainstream media is so quiet what has happened to uk or Israel.

'However, she has asked the Supreme Court not to make her liable for damages that may be awarded in the case because of the 'public interest' in the matter.' You don't get to just say 'I wouldn't like an adverse costs order'. Someone needs to convince her this is a bad idea.

Sack them

Good luck with that. In the meantime the 90% majority who are/will get vaccinated are going to open the State up. To the anti-vaxxers: get out of our way, we are tired of waiting.

They have a lot of money? Or they have a sponsor.

I remember teachers all screaming a few weeks ago that they were not put at the front of the queue, what happened?

Here we go 🙄 let’s guess who is funding it - the antivax party themselves - Clive Palmer?

Aren’t teachers most at risk of catching the virus?

She represents no other teacher I know. All teachers I know rushed out to get vaccinated as soon as they were eligible. We understand the risk to ourselves and the young, unvaccinated children we need to shield until they are eligible

They can choose another career that panders to their personal beliefs, it's a choice and choices have ramifications.

One teacher...and it gets coverage. Should cover news about all the teachers that are following the rules... must be getting paid well to be able to afford this action

Hmm what a waste of tax payer money… and precious court time…cheaper just to not give them a job because they aren’t willing to fulfil the requirements

I knew before clicking the link religion would be involved. Just another RWNJ wasting the courts time. Representing herself? Good luck with that 🤭

🤔 some mothers do have them

Casual relief teacher, followed by doesn’t want to pay costs if she loses? Talk about having it both ways....

Seems not many here understand breakthrough infection and transmission A lot has not been explained on the “consent” form Sad sad world atm

Sounds like she needs 'it's the vibe' defence. 🤦

What about the human rights of the pupils, which is the only reason for teachers, same as hospitals, they exist only for the patients, that is where your responsibility lies, if you don't accept that then get used to the dole.

Yet again religion is a feature

To end all this, all politicians have to do is make it mandatory for politicians and public servants first then the population may be more accepting

I don’t get anyone working with children not vaccinating. 🤦🏻‍♀️

I would allow any body that does not wish to be vaccinated for covid to make that decision, however if you make that decision, you wave your right to free covid treatment in hospital and pay for your treatment knowing it could have been avoided.

So has not problem with kids having a no jab no play mandate affectively protecting them in the work place from every infectious disease, but won't do her part to protect the kids, who at this time can't be immunised...get F$ed

I’d refuse to have my children in her classroom.

Hopefully she's not a 'science' teacher. 🙄

The suit names Brett Sutton as a plaintiff? Am I misunderstanding something here?

I will not denigrate anyone who makes the choice not to vaccinate it’s not my place to lecture or sway but should you choose NOT to then do not pursue employment in Public Service where you have contact with large groups of people or others who may have underlying health issues

Just in case she get’s infected with COVID19Vic don’t cover her expenses thru medicare.
