A court rejects autocorrect as the excuse for the message about West Bromwich Albion's Romaine Sawyers.

Walsall Magistrates' Court heard West Bromwich Albion's Romaine Sawyers became aware of it after the team was beaten 5-0 by Manchester City, He said the message "was intentionally posted and was blatant racism towards black professional footballer Mr Romaine Sawyers". The post was on a "sarcastic" fan zone Whatsapp group titled "Romaine Sawyers - Ballon d'Or", a reference to the annual award to the world's best player.
