Trial by media may suit the Telegraph and the baying press pack but the law of the land must hold primacy in any event. Peter Hain, a known self publicist, has abused parliamentary privilege and should be held to account by his party.

Philip Green is an odious individual. His actions in the BHS scandal should have seen him stripped of his knighthood and a substantial part of his fortune. He is, however, entitled to the same protections our legal system offers us all.
