A first-class graduate of the Nigerian Law School, Favour Ogini, tells Lesi Nwisagbo about academic experience and how mentorship helped herI am Favour Ogini, a young girl that is passionate about making a positive impact, improving and contributing significantly to the lives of people around me. I am the youngest in my family. I have an elder brother and two older sisters. I attended St. Margaret Nursery and Primary School, Ikorodu.

I love spending time with my family and I love watching movies. I love volunteering. I volunteer with Restructure Africa. I also love reading, meeting people and impacting lives.I did not get admission into the university immediately. I was at home for about a year after my secondary school education. But that year was a defining one because I remember that it made me have a different perspective on life. It humbled me.

I reached out to mentors and I had amazing mentors. I really believe in the gift of mentorship because it is like having proper guidance regarding the steps that you take. I reached out to my mentors and one of them told me to restrategise, so I was always restrategising. I would wake up in the morning and draw up my plans for the day. I would always strive to do all I had to do that day.
