Im not upset about this at all. Kat just didnt fit in my opinion. More is not always better. We can just role with Benson, Finn and Rollins with Carisi for all I care. I would have liked to see Erin Lindsey from Chicago PD come to SVU or even Nick Weschlers character.

Shame, Kat was the much-needed bi representation we needed, a good cop who had the same verve as baby Benson. Garland was a good Chief who had the squad’s back. I’ll miss them both.
Was just starting to warm up to Kat but I LOVED Garland. I thought he was a great addition to the SVU. After Barba, they've had a hard time with DA roles. Hadid wasn't great, Stone showed some potential - guess it's just going to Carisi holding down the fort this season?
Well that is crappy news to wake up to…I hope the exits are fitting for each character and not sensational. Both characters are representatives for often marginalised groups in TV and film. I particularly do not want to see Kat killed off as an overused LGBTQ+ trope…🏳️🌈

Thank goodness! From day one, I’ve disliked her. SVU does such a great job with casting that I never understood how she got the job. Her acting capabilities are nowhere near the level of the rest of the cast or other actors who have been on SVU…especially a main cast member
