— The Masbate provincial government’s entry ban on unvaccinated individuals has no legal basis and should not be allowed, the country’s health chief said Thursday.
[Translation: There is no legal basis for prohibiting residents from returning to their respective communities or localities. Even if they are unvaccinated, they should be allowed.] Bravo raised his objection to the “discriminatory” rule, adding he has already submitted a letter of complaint to the regional director of the Department of the Interior and Local Government.
“Yung iba, gustong umuwi dahil magpapa-enroll ng kanilang anak,” Bravo said. “Merong gustong magpabakuna. Naka first dose na, hindi makauwi for the second dose because of the prohibition.”

How about instead of vaccine mandates we get 1. Actual vaccines, given the slow ass roll out by Dutertards 2. An anti-Dutertard mandate. If you're a Dutertard or directly related to one, you go into quarantine.
Masbate should have phrased it better… - make most if not all businesses refuse them - contact tracing should start as soon as they enter - would be a lower priority in case they get covid - charge them a special treatment fee etc. VicoSotto I bet your team can do one better.

This is discriminatory and tribalistic. We are one country. The mere fact that this was thought of as a policy is unbelievable especially when vaccination is not yet full blast in some areas. Negative PCR-RT test should be sufficient already (still discriminatory, but okay)

Masisisi mo ba ang probinsya ng Masbate? Hindi sila kasing yaman ng mga siyudad sa Maynila. If infection in their province spreads, it will cripple their healthcare system. Kuha mo? Hindi kasi ang gusto niyo magtagal tong pandemya para marami kayong malimas!
Same stance Duque took against banning people from China entering the country at the start of the pandemic. And look at the situation now.
The LGU of Masbate is responding better to the pandemic that Duque. (Who should really just keep his idiocy to himself right now).
yung LGU nila may malasakit sa constituents, ayaw mahawaan ang mga kababayan. di tulad kay Duque walang pakialam anuman mangyari sa kapwa Pilipino.
