White House press secretary Jen Psakithat the administration is “disappointed” with the ruling, which it knew was coming.

Moreover, the very idea that a politically appointed bureaucrat has carte blanche to do whatever he or she wants simply by invoking a crisis is a profoundly dangerous principle. You’d think Democrats, after four years of fretting over Trump as a would-be dictator and his various assaults on democratic and constitutional norms, would have some appreciation of this.

JonahDispatch opinion There are so many jobs right now. I do not feel bad for 99% of these people. Some of us have had to work these FL jobs all pandemic.

JonahDispatch opinion Haven't followed closely but wasn't there a provision that allowed landlords to receive some compensation as long as the moratorium stood?
