‘Let’s rip into this sheila’: Daily Mail editor told employee to target Erin Molan, court told

instructed one of his employees to “rip into” broadcaster Erin Molan before a story was published which is now at the centre of a defamation case, a court has been told.in the Federal Court over an article and two tweets published in June 2020 which she says falsely implied she is racist, callous and arrogant. She is seeking aggravated damages.

On Monday, Ms Molan’s barrister Kieran Smark, SC, told Justice Robert Bromwich that the joke about the Warrens’ mispronunciation had been made multiple times on the show, and the audience would be well aware of it.
