Seattle Police Chief Adrian Diaz has fired the two police officers who authorities say violated the law while attending events in Washington D.C. during the Jan. 6 insurrection.

At least 140 Capitol police officers were injured during the riot. Many are still grappling with the physical and emotional toll of that day.SEATTLE -- Seattle Police Chief Adrian Diaz on Friday fired two police officers who authorities have said violated the law while attending events in Washington D.C. during the Jan. 6 insurrection.

Diaz also called the officers' presence at the Capitol that day as"an attack on our profession and on every officer across the country.” It’s not known if the officers are under criminal investigation by federal authorities for their actions.’s “Stop the Steal” rally.of her and Alexander Everett at the demonstration. Four other officers later admitted they were also there but said they were not involved in the riot.

Last month's investigation by Seattle's Office of Police Accountability found that the Everetts violated the law by trespassing at the U.S. Capitol while rioters stormed the building. The police discipline report stated that they also lied about their activities. But “nearby, and within your line of vision, numerous people were scaling a stone wall to the Capital steps, climbing the scaffolding, and crowds were surrounding the building,” the report added.

Dog and Pony show... Both those officers will be employed within 90 days somewhere... 'Nuff said!!!...

They will just be hired by another police dept. thats how they do it or put them on desk duty for few weeks. Slap on hand

About time! they should be stripped of any pensions or other benefits as well. Forbidden to ever be a cop anywhere ever again would be great!! Not even a rent-a-cop

All instigators, participants, & supporters of the TREASONOUS TREACHERY that took place on January 6th, 2021 are COMPLICIT & MUST BE HELD ACCOUNTABLE! Police Officers deserved to be fired in Seattle for attending the alleged insurrection!

We’re they real Trump supporters or American terrorists?

Again that was no insurrection. 85% of that crowd owned weapons. An insurrection would have resulted in a mass casualty event. It looked more like KMart after 11pm.

Good. The last thing any city, town, state or nation needs are Insurrectionists within the law enforcement community. When you compare the two Seattle 'officers' to the DC Metro and Capitol police officers, you wonder how the Insurrectionists ever got hired.

These people must be eradicated from our lawful enforcement agencies. They are a real threat.

I'm sure they can find employment in Texas, Florida or any number of red states.

Great

Great! Now the union will step in, give them huge settlements and their jobs back, because our system is fucked and our police are corrupt.

It was just trespass. Insurrection was what we had for 4 years from Antifa and BLM
