The Lagos State High Court, General Civil Division, has barred Chevron Nigeria’s Chief Medical Director , Rotimi Babalola, from evicting his wife, Adediwura Babalola, from their home.

In the Certified True Copy of the ruling seen by DAILY POST, Justice Olukayode Ogunjobi restrained Babalola, his privies, or workmen from entering, trespassing or disturbing the possession.The judge said all actions must be put on hold pending the hearing and determination of the Motion on Notice filed with the application.Adediwura dragged Babalola to court to seek dissolution of their marriage. The suit is numbered LD/9231WD/2021.

Justice Ogunjobi also ordered the husband to return household equipment removed from the home between April 20 and July 20, 2021. The petitioner’s counsel, Adeleke Agbola, had requested accelerated grant of the injunction in view of Babalola’s alleged insistence to evict Adediwura. Hearing was adjourned until September 20 when the Lagos State High Court will resume from annual vacation.
