The scheduled trial suffered a setback, with the judge adjourning till October 21, citing Mr Kanu’s absence and the commencement of the court’s vacation.

The State Security Service failed to produce Nnamdi Kanu, the leader of the proscribed Indigenous People of Biafra , for his scheduled trial at the Federal High Court in Abuja on Monday.

The trial was stalled not just because of Mr Kanu’s absence from court, but also because the court’s judges’ vacation started on Monday, the trial judge, Binta Nyako, said.Earlier, the prosecuting lawyer, M. B Abubakar, informed the judge that Mr Kanu’s absence from court might be due to “logistical” issues encountered by the SSS, the agency holding him in custody.

However, Mr Kanu’s lawyer, Ifeanyi Ejiofor, countered the prosecution’s position, saying the IPOB leader had been taken away out of Abuja. The separatist, who was granted bail in April 2017, fled the country after the invasion of his home in Afara-Ukwu, near Umuahia, Abia State, by the military in September.Mr Kanu was rearrested and brought back to Nigeria in June, about four years after his trial on charges of treasonable felony was stalled due to his disappearance from the country.

Why not change the headline to “he jumped court” pigs. Filthy smelling uncircumcised homeless Fulani terrorists. May be he traveled to London too.

This is FULANI sponsored Headline, is he the one to bring himself to the court? The HEADLINE should have been DSS VEHEMENTLY REFUSED TO BRING KANU TO COURT.

You Premium idiots!!!!!!!!! employ a lawyer ffs. Shit is not a civil case, neither was NK on bail for him to be absent. The state failed to produce him in court!!!!!!

Adjournment game plan.Oloshi kinda of Gov't

the decision has not been made yet. the North is still planning.

CletusUkpong Nigeria is a failed terrorist state They are terrorizing Biafrans who said they don’t want to be part of a criminal state like Nigeria.

SalimAyofe He should be moved to high security prison, he shouldn’t get the chance to radicalize other inmates and should be isolated kia kia, get serious about national security for once in Naija abeggi😌.

They said he ran away from court now they have failed to bring him to the same court they broke International law to kidnap him for. Maybe he is very sick and they don't want the world to see him like that.

What is happening in this country?

DSS fails to provide him is different from Nnamdi Kanu absent in court.. When will you all say tinz as it is...? 😒 Always to say tinz from the beginning and as it is... Gutter media journalists

It's a trap. 2023 election will be like: APC - East give us your vote and we will give you Kanu safe and sound. East: we will discuss with our people.

Say it as it is, what do you mean by absent? Is he not under DSS custody? No wonder the older generations were filled with fake news. Rubbish 😠

Sowore, you too like cheap attention and publication. Why will you go there to protest? Don’t you ve sense? U don’t know, u will be arrested? I know protest is not a crime but some times it can be unproductive and distracting. Chill a little, they will soon let you go ..and? Eventually, you will wear out your welcome even among your ardent supporters. Try to know when to hold it. Congratulations 🎊 yeleSowore
