Marie Heeraman faced the County Court of Victroia on Tuesday for a brief hearing after previously pleading guilty to a course of conduct theft charge.
The money was part of his inheritance but he transferred $200,000 into an account controlled by Heeraman in October 2014. Heeraman said she would monitor the man’s funds and would protect him from his “own spending” by paying his expenses and providing him with cash, according to a prosecution summary.She spent more than $10,000 of the cash on “bridal wear”, clothing, shoes, glasses and accessories, $5000 on homewares and $46,000 in cash withdrawals.
