The legislation, set to come into effect as early as next week, is proving very divisive

Mary Lou McDonald has said that theThe legislation, which will allow people who are fully vaccinated, accompanying under 18s and those who have recently recovered from Covid-19 to dine indoors, was passed by 72 votes to 66, despite opposition TDs describing it as"unworkable" and"divisive".

When asked if she was against the reopening of the indoor hospitality sector, McDonald said: "No, we’re not, far from it. We want hospitality to open up safely with all of the mitigations that are required for that, and to open up for everyone.

Government wins vote on indoor dining laws labelled as 'discriminatory' by opposition TDsThe Dáil is currently debating opposition amendments to the legislation. I will never enter a premises that demands to see my medical records. I hope they go broke . This is a ridiculous over reach by the government. What if you cant have the vaccine for medical reasons? And should people who dont want the vaccine for whatever reason be discriminated against?
