Glock semi-automatic pistols at Hiram's Guns/Firearms Unknown store in El Cajon, Calif., on April 26.WASHINGTON — A federal appeals court ruled Tuesday that the federal law banning handgun sales by licensed dealers to anyone under 21 is unconstitutional.
"We first find that 18-year-olds possess Second Amendment rights," Judge Julius Richardson wrote."They enjoy almost every other constitutional right, and they were required at the time of the Founding to serve in the militia and furnish their own weapons." The Second Amendment, he said, is different"not because it is uniquely oppressed or imperiled, but rather because it is singularly capable of causing harm."
Take it all the way. You can't drink legally, but you can buy a gun At what age. 10? Outrageous.
I am all for sensible gun laws, but if we can give 18 year olds a gun to go protect our families abroad, they should be able to own a gun to protect their family at home. If Republicans think children should own guns, they should be locked up.
Why stop at 18? Kids have constitutional rights too.
so a teenager can buy a gun? basically 21........
Easy: Prohibit selling ammo.
I now understand that the GOP's endgame is Mad Max. I knew Fury Road was a mistake, but nobody believed me.
