Rumors over Spears’ retirement come as the singer fights to end the 13 year conservatorship controlling her life and business affairs and to remove her father as conservator.her career will stall while her father is in control and she has not released an album since 2016, performed live since 2018 and has been on a total hiatus since early 2019.
