Police are investigating reports of a prisoner's involvement in Noah Donohoe's death, a court heard today.
Counsel for the coroner, Sean Doran QC, said on their agenda was the discussion of potential further lines of enquiry. "The question arises as to what occurs in the context of the investigation and inquest when a matter of such is raised and the answer to that really is that the matter has been referred to the PSNI for their consideration."
"Of course given the nature of what was revealed, it very much must be a police matter and must be subject to police investigation. It must be done with some urgency."
