In an order Monday, a three-judge panel on the federal appeals court issued a stay of US District Judge Roger Benitez's order earlier this month that overturned California's three-decade old assault weapons ban.The state's current assault weapons laws will remain in effect while further proceedings continue, California Attorney General Rob Bonta said in a statement on Twitter.
Gavin Newsom who said the AR-15 is a"weapon of war."When Benitez overturned the state's ban on assault weapons, he gave the state 30 days to challenge the ruling. Bonta filed an appeal less than a week later, calling it"fundamentally flawed."The 9th Circuit court said both parties will file a status update within 14 days.

The AR-15 is not an assault rifle. The caliber is too small. Guns don’t kill people, people kill people! To illustrate this, more murders occur from people using fists and feet than AR-15s. More people are murdered with knives than rifles! Maybe we should confiscate cutlery!

The 9th Circuit judges on the panel issuing the stay were Barry G Silverman , an appointee of President Clinton ; Jacqueline Nguyen , an Obama appointee ; and Ryan D.Nelson , a Trump appointee .
The legal fight could continue for long and may be decided by the US Supreme Court .
If shall not be infringed can be interpreted as infringement is ok, then citizens can interpret any part of the constitution or bill of rights any way we want and none of it has any merit.
But guys, that amendment that was written when leeches were cutting edge medical science says that we can own bazookas if we want!!!
This is good news. It's too bad there isn't a nationwide ban on their sale.
