Some of Australia's most well-known newspapers, websites and radio stations have been slugged more than $1 million in fines for being in contempt of court during the child sex abuse trial of Cardinal George Pell.Justice John Dixon said some of the media outlets pushed "fatuous" excuses for doing so
The biggest fines were reserved for the publishers of The Age, fined $450,000, and news.com.au, which was fined $400,000. "They each took a deliberate risk by intentionally advancing a collateral attack on the role of suppression orders in Victoria's criminal justice system. The Australian Financial Review was slugged $162,000, while Nine's Today Show received a $30,000 fine.
Boo. This fine should never have been made.
Good he is an innocent man.
I also want the AFP, to find out who in Victoria got $2 Million dollars from Cardinal Becciu to lie about Cardinal Pell. I bet you Louise Milligan got some of that money. She was in the know with all the sick bastards, she was at the races with them. All Catholics want to know.
Grossly unfair on the media orgs - The Judge even thinks his decisions are beyond public commentary & discussion - Apparently we the public aren't allowed to have an opinion despite the farce of the news being everywhere online
OMG he was protected by Morrisons uselessness government. Like porter. He is a child molesting PEDOPHILE we all know and we all should be disgusted with the law his victims of his sexual perversion
