Clashes between Israeli police and Palestinians at Jerusalem's Al-Aqsa Mosque left more than 180 people injured, as anger grows over the potential eviction of Palestinians from homes on land claimed by Jewish settlers.There were many violent outbreaks on Friday, with the worst happening at Jerusalem's Al-Aqsa Mosque

Tensions in Jerusalem and the occupied West Bank have been high during the Muslim holy month of Ramadan, with nightly clashes in East Jerusalem's Sheikh Jarrah — a neighbourhood where numerous Palestinian families face eviction in a long-running legal case. A police spokeswoman said Palestinians had thrown rocks, fireworks and other objects towards officers, with some of the six injured requiring medical treatment.
