Mr Cummins said no legal action would commence until the statutory instrument allowing hotels to recommence indoor dining was signed into law and he stressed that any legal steps would not aim to stop hotels opening their dining facilities but to allow indoor restaurants do the same.
He said the resumption of indoor dining in hotels would “lay the groundwork” for further reopening of the rest of the restaurant sector. “The outdoor dining was about supplementing the indoor space which was limited as a result of social distancing restrictions,” he said. “There is a huge amount of frustration out there.Our members are flying blind and don’t know when they can open which is why they have come to us and asked about legal action.

Makes absolutely no sense that hotels are able to serve food and pints and restaurants can’t apply the same safety measures - fairness and consistency required for all business to get off the floor

What simply will happen if they go ahead with the case is hotels will have to remain closed until July+ , as there is no way indoor pubs & restaurants will be allowed to open in early June (until enough people are vaccinated)
The only restaurants allowed to open and have outdoor eating are all multi-national and big chain fast food joints. Hope this restaurant gets it justice because what the government are doing is wrong!
A year late.
I mean both nphet and the government have provided zero evidence that eating in a hotel restaurant is any safer than a standalone restaurant. Seem to be making it up as they go along.
Am I right in saying....adriancummins will only back restaurants if they take legal action but restawards will not take it upon themselves to do this for their members?
