The fight over who should succeed the late King Goodwill Zwelithini is now heading to the Pietermaritzburg High Court.

Nongoma - The fight over who should succeed the late King Goodwill Zwelithini is now heading to the Pietermaritzburg High Court after the first wife who was married in a civil rites marriage, MaDlamini, challenged the will which yields to who is the next king.

In a statement issued via a public relations company, a royal faction loyal to MaDlamini said it has concerns with validity of all the king's traditional marriages which came after a civil one, hence it was going to court. “In this instance, until the matter is decided before the courts, the relief sought is to pend the execution of the document in question.

This is not for the courts to decide.

This could be the end of the Zulu monarchy as we know it. So sad that this is happening.

It was bound to happen, I'm not surprised.

Disaster. WMC will now install their guy. Ingonyama gone....

We black people are problematic, how do you try to resolve a traditional practice with a western law?

You see now. This thing of paying millions of rands to the zulu monarch in tax payers money for doing nothing will lead to bloodbath one day. Now everyone in the kraal wants to lay their hands on it. This is some form of corruption.

Sthembu is problematic

So what if there were no courts? Let’s just pretend it’s 1821, then what?

A 'will' is irrelevant! A 'will' for what? A king is not selected or installed by a so- called will... the process is clear
